Our riding holidays are private, individually planned, and intentionally low in volume. Routes are shaped around seasonal conditions, horse suitability, and the interests and experience of each guest, whether following remote lakeshores, riding through jungle corridors, crossing open plains, or exploring the rural landscapes of Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province.

The Standard Behind the Experience
Every riding holiday, trail ride, horsemanship stay, and boarding arrangement at Vonfidel Ranch operates within a single governing framework. The doctrine exists to protect horses, guide decision-making, and preserve standards that cannot be compromised for convenience or demand.
Trust must never be extracted from an animal for human entertainment. It must be earned, protected, and preserved.

Major credit cards and bank transfers are accepted. Formal electronic receipts are issued upon confirmation.
Riding holidays are handled through the official reservation form or through direct consultation for bespoke itineraries. Suitability and availability are reviewed before confirmation.
Private transfers may be arranged from airports, coastal hotels, and regional transport points on request.
A 50% deposit confirms approved bookings. Deposits are generally non-refundable but may be credited toward a future date subject to operational discretion, weather, and availability.
Horses operate under controlled workloads, structured rest cycles, veterinary oversight, and individual conditioning. No horse is worked beyond welfare thresholds.
Rider suitability is assessed individually based on experience, balance, confidence, conduct, physical readiness, horse welfare, terrain, and field conditions.
