Carefully prepared horses, placed with long-term judgment.
Vonfidel Ranch’s private placement program is for the selection, preparation, sale, and placement of a small number of carefully chosen horses into appropriate long-term homes, estates, and working environments.
Intentionally limited and never structured around frequent sales.
Basis
Temperament, soundness, trainability, adaptability, and suitability.
Outcome
Appropriate long-term homes, estates, and working environments.
Temperament Under SaddleEvery horse selected by Vonfidel Ranch is evaluated not only for athletic ability, but also for temperament, willingness, and the qualities that make a dependable riding partner.
What This Is
A consultative placement process for carefully prepared horses.
Where a horse is considered for sale or placement, the decision is not reduced to appearance, trend, pedigree, or quick availability. The question is whether the horse is suitable for the person, property, work, routine, climate, and standard of care into which it may be placed.
Selection
Chosen with the end environment in mind.
Horses are assessed for temperament, trainability, physical resilience, and the kind of human partnership they are likely to sustain.
Preparation
Developed inside a working equestrian setting.
The emphasis is on calm handling, practical exposure, and everyday reliability rather than public-facing sales polish.
Placement
Matched only where alignment can be established.
Inquiries are reviewed individually, and a placement may be declined where suitability or long-term welfare cannot be supported.
Ongoing Stewardship
The responsibility does not end at sale.
Where appropriate, Vonfidel Ranch may remain involved in an advisory capacity after placement. This support is offered selectively and only where it provides meaningful value to both the horse and the environment into which the horse has been placed.
Orientation and practical guidance for the receiving home or estate.
Advice around stable design, handling systems, daily routine, and welfare.
Training guidance, farrier coordination, and operational consultation where suitable.
Long-term support intended to preserve soundness, comfort, and wellbeing.
