01The Vonfidel Way

Ethical horsemanship
Punanai, Eastern Province

The Vonfidel Way, from the first request to the final ride.

Suitability review, careful horse matching, unhurried preparation, small parties, and decisions made from the conditions of the day rather than from a brochure.

In the field

The plan stays personal. It is never improvised around guest preference alone.

Restraint before spectacle. The horse before the itinerary.

The principle

02The guest journey

Three points where a decision is actually made.

What happens before and during a ride.

01

Before arrival

The request establishes riding experience, confidence, weight, expectations, party details, and the correct riding pathway. Questions are resolved before a place is confirmed.

02

At the yard

The team reviews the horse, the rider match, tack, briefing, heat, weather, and ground before anyone mounts.

03

In the field

Guides set and adjust spacing, pace, route, stops, and duration. Instructions remain binding for every rider.

03Field authority

Water, heat, footing, light, and horse condition are part of the decision, not a backdrop.

A route can change after the horses are tacked.

The guide holds final authority over route, pace, horse allocation, and whether a session runs at all. That authority is exercised in front of guests, not behind them.

  • A departure time moved when heat or light requires it.
  • A route changed for footing, water, or ground condition.
  • A horse withdrawn on the morning of a ride.
  • A session shortened, postponed, or not ridden.

04From request to ride

Confirmation follows a conversation, not an automatic booking.

How a suitable plan is confirmed.

01

Rider profile

The Ranch reviews ability, confidence, weight, expectations, age, conduct, and the needs of the full party.

02

Horse and route match

Available horses, workload, route, season, footing, heat, and party compatibility determine the suitable option.

03

Changes on the day

The team may delay, shorten, reroute, suspend, or cancel riding when current conditions require a different decision.

06Begin

Begin with your riding background and your dates.

The Ranch assesses the suitable pathway against horse availability and current conditions, then replies in writing with one clear next step.
