What to Know Before You Request Dates
A private seven-day Ranch stay for confident riders, with dates, riding rhythm, and accommodation confirmed around the party.
The Seven-Day Stay
Seven days is the intended format, ordinarily allowing for five planned riding days and two riding-free days. Shorter requests may begin from three days.
Ranch Accommodation & Full Board
Two Ranch-house units are reserved for the party. Four guests is preferred; up to six can be accommodated when sharing suits the party. Full board is included.
Private Format & Availability
There are no mixed public departures. Dates and quote are confirmed after review; Signature stays are normally not offered from mid-October through the third week of January.
Horses & Rider Standard
Horses, saddles and Ranch tack are provided. Riders need to be intermediate or above, ride independently at walk, trot and canter, and remain within the 75 kg maximum current body weight.
Transport & Quote
Riding-day field-camp transport is included in the agreed holiday price. Airport pickup and end-to-end chauffeur travel are optional and quoted separately.

Signature riding holidays
Private Riding Across Eastern Sri Lanka
One private party rides from the Ranch into Eastern Sri Lanka, with routes selected for the group and the day.
Most Signature riding is across wide-open country on predominantly sandy ground. Routes also pass through jungle corridors and forest patches, along lakesides and waterways, and beside paddy fields, cattle ranches and wildlife habitat.
Welfare-Led Routing
Distance and pace follow horse workload, footing, weather, and rider confidence. A session may be shortened, changed, postponed, or not ridden.
Private by Design
One private party; no mixed public departure. The riding remains quiet and supervised.
Matched With Care
Horse assignments reflect riding history, balance, current body weight, horse temperament, and the intended route. Assignments may change during the stay.

How a Signature Riding Day Works
Horses work from field camps serving each riding area. The final route and pace are set before the ride.

Horses and tack are prepared; weather, footing, and the route are checked before departure.

On the Trail
Routes cross predominantly sandy, wide-open country and also pass through jungle corridors and forest patches, along lakesides and waterways, and beside paddy fields and cattle ranches.

Recovery
Horses cool, are checked, and settle after the ride.

Evening at the Ranch
Guests return to the Ranch for food, conversation, and rest.

Matching Continues Throughout the Stay
Matching does not end with the request form. The Ranch continues to assess horse, rider, route, and day throughout the stay.
Riding carries inherent risk. Accurate information, suitable equipment, and compliance with the guide are required; operational decisions may change during the stay.
After the trail
Dinner and Accommodation at the Ranch
Full board and Ranch accommodation are included. Guests return after riding for dinner and rest; breakfast follows the next day's plan.
