A private equestrian estate taking shape in Habarana, at the edge of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.

Lakewood Mounted Estate is being developed as a refined equestrian destination for travellers drawn to the landscapes, history and wildlife of Habarana, Sigiriya and Sri Lanka’s North Central Province.

Set within one of the island’s most compelling travel regions, the estate is positioned close to ancient kingdoms, dry-zone lakes, forest corridors, elephant country and the cultural landmarks that define the interior of Sri Lanka.

Our intention is not to create another ordinary holiday stop. Lakewood Mounted Estate is being shaped around horses, landscape, hospitality and considered access to the Cultural Triangle — with the discipline, restraint and field standards associated with Vonfidel Ranch.
